The die-casting process is mostly used for the automotive industry. Automobiles have indeed many components the can be produced through the die-casting technique. As a matter of fact, this process was initially thought especially for the automotive sector.
The reason is that die-casted components do not need other mechanical machining after the production. Die-casted parts can indeed be used as raw parts with no superficial machining.
The production of automotive moulds requires a strict quality system: precision and accurate control of all the production phases are fundamental.
